Carson City, Nevada

This, the capital city of the State of Nevada, is well situated near Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada. The population is about 55,000 and the elevation 4700'. Outdoor recreation and scenery are both very good here in this no income tax state.

We confess that this charming small town west of Philadelphia was not on our radar before we saw some Members discussing it here. There are museums, an amateur theatrical society, and a symphony orchestra. There is also a 106 acre park with an entertainment pavilion - plus, Philly is a short hop away.
